10 Reasons To Love Basins With Washstands

I have a bit of a thing for basins with washstands. Mmmmmm, yes. Here are my top ten reasons why they add a bit of Modern Country Style to any shower or bathroom.

1) Basins with washstands provide substance to the room, without looking cumbersome.

2) The clean lines are simple and elegant.

3) A good quality washstands will add a feeling of quality to even a cheap basin.

4) They add character to a new-build.

5) Washstands take up very little floor space.

6) They make any small space look larger by creating an illusion of an extra item in the room.

7) They can provide a space to hang a towel.

8) They can help draw attention away from ugly plumbing.

9) They are an easy way to add period charm.

10) The reflective surface bounces light around the room.

The only problem is all these are on the super-large size.
As far as I know, and after extensive research, there's only one small basin with a gorgeous washstand available.

Guess what I'll be sharing tomorrow?

Love these examples...
I found irony in the fact that they draw attention away from ugly plumbing.
Girl! you have NOT see ugly plumbing.
The plumbing in these photos is gorgeous compared to our pvc plumbing. That is why there is a cupboard under my bathroom sink. :)
Can't wait to see what your show off tomorrow.

As someone who lives in a teeny tiny house, I love the additional feeling of space that a washstand gives to a bathroom! Our current sink is so clunky and ugly – I would totally melt in a puddle of love if I owned one of these beauties!

I know, they are so pretty. Maybe not the most practical since they lack storage, but they do give a nice air. In sweden it is more or less impossible to find any at a reasonable price, just one or two have them and it is special order...

I have a washstand with chrome legs in my new bathroom and it's quite the most beautiful thing. You can see it here:
